The D125 boundary does not follow city or ZIP code lines. It cuts through Buffalo Grove, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, and 6 other towns street by street. Use this page to understand the boundary — then ask Shilpa to verify your specific address.

The official D125 boundary follows individual tax parcels — not roads, not city limits. A map gives you a general picture. Shilpa gives you a definitive answer for your specific address.
Two houses on the same street can be in different districts. Shilpa verifies against the 2025 Lake County GIS map at the parcel level — not the ZIP code level.
Shilpa tells you not just "yes it's in D125" but which sender district, which elementary, which middle school — your complete K–12 path.
If your address is close to the boundary, Shilpa can also show you alternative homes that are verified inside D125 at a similar price point.
Shilpa has looked up hundreds of D125 addresses. Most verifications take minutes, not days. You'll hear back quickly.
These are the three most common D125 boundary errors Shilpa sees buyers make — all avoidable.
Zillow lets you filter by city. "Buffalo Grove" returns hundreds of homes — but a significant portion of Buffalo Grove is outside D125 and feeds a different high school entirely. Zillow does not show this. Buyers fall in love with a home, make an offer, and only discover the district issue during due diligence.
ZIP 60047 covers Long Grove (100% D125), Kildeer (partial D125), Hawthorn Woods (partial D125), AND Lake Zurich (small D125 portion). Same ZIP — four different boundary situations. A 60047 address tells you almost nothing about whether you're in D125 without street-level verification.
The D125 boundary follows tax parcel lines, not subdivision lines. In some areas of Vernon Hills and Buffalo Grove, one side of a street is in D125 and the other side feeds a different district. "My neighbor's kids go to Stevenson" is not a reliable indicator that your specific lot qualifies.
The only reliable verification method is to check the specific parcel against the official Lake County GIS boundary map (Map 26-192, Revised 2025) or confirm with the district directly at d125.org. Shilpa does this for every address she works with — it's her baseline.
